Nivig (Swiss Chards with Chickpeas) (2011-01-15 Sevag)

Quantity: 5
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ø 3 bunches Swiss Chard
Ø 1 big onion
Ø 2 T tomato paste
Ø 150ml water
Ø ½ teaspoon All spice
Ø ¾ can chick peas
Cooking Instructions
· Chop the white part of the Swiss chards finer than the leaves.
· Chop onions.
· Heat oil and add onions. Cook until soft.
· Add Swiss chard, then stir. Once it starts to shrink, add water if it’s too dry.
· Add tomato paste.
· Add salt and All spice.
· Add chickpeas. Cover and cook for 10 min.
· Serve hot.

Cassava Cake (2011-01-15 Sevag)

Quantity: 10
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Baking Time: 60 minutes
Ø 1 can evaporated milk
Ø 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Ø 2 packs grated frozen cassava
Ø 1 pack shredded young coconut
Cooking Instructions
Preparation and cooking
· Mix the 1st four ingredients
· Grease a pan and add the mixed ingredients
· Bake for 30 minutes at 325 Degrees Celcius
· Add shredded coconut on top
· Continue baking for another 30 minutes

Rice with Vermicelli (2011-01-15 Sevag)

Quantity: 10
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Baking Time: 30 minutes
Ø 1 cup Jasmine Rice
Ø 1/2 cup Vermicelli
Ø 2 cups of water
Ø 2 Tsp Olive Oil
Ø 1 tsp Salt
Cooking Instructions
Preparation and cooking
· Dry-roast vermicelli.
· Cook rice with water, salt and olive oil until rice rises to the level of the water.
· Add vermicelli and close lid.
· Cook until water evaporates on low heat.
